Director Paul Wes Anderson is back with Resident Evil: Afterlife and says that being married to lead actress Milla Jovovich and having their kids on the set made the shooting experience all the more pleasurable. The fourth movie in the hit franchise sees Alice the protagonist played by Milla, coming face to face with her arch-nemesis, Albert Wesker, for the first time in the sci-fi horror series.

A new poster and more images from Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil: Afterlife have come online and can be viewed below. Milla Jovovich also commented on the recent rumors that Sienna Guillory will be back as Jill Valentine in the film via her Twitter account today:
"So to answer many of your questions in one fell swoop, yes! The gorgeous and talented Sienna Guillory is back as Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 4!!!"
Resident Evil: Afterlife is an upcoming 3D science fiction action horror film written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, and starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Kim Coates, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe and Shawn Roberts. It is the fourth installment in a series of film adaptations based loosely on Capcom's survival horror video game series Resident Evil. It is also the first film in the series to be released in 3D. In the film Alice searches for and rescues remaining survivors in Los Angeles of the T-virus outbreak, who team up against Albert Wesker, the head of the Umbrella Corporation.
There are many awesome things about this new poster for RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE, and most of them have to do with Milla Jovovich and rain. Her akimbo magnums are pretty cool too, though it seems like a downgrade from her akimbo shotguns and submachine guns from movies past.
I don’t really like the use of 3D of a selling point, as even the tagline is based around the tech (a “new dimension of evil” indeed), though the film is using James Cameron’s Fusion camera system, which gives me hope that it will look leagues better than your usual CLASH OF THE TITANS upconvert.
BONUS: A few new shots from the film, including Alice in action with her new guns, and Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield. Nice to see Scofield’s getting work after Prison Break.
